Inside of KnowledgeVision, there are three different types of 'roles' that a user can be assigned.These roles are typically set up during your onboarding process by the Customer SuccessTeam, but can also be modified at any time if you are an administrator or super administrator. The three roles are:
- Administrator - An "Administrator' is defined as the one person who has full access to all the features and functions of KVStudio and KVCentral . They also have the ability to add and remove users and designate their role on the main account. This is accomplished by going to KVCentral --> Settings -->Administration. There is only one administrator on a KnowledgeVision account, and is typically the primary contact and the power user for the account.
- If integration with any of the 3 Hosting Vendors (Brightcove/Ooyala/Kaltura) is also activated, then the Administrator has the ability to add additional hosting accounts to the KnowledgeVision account. This is accomplished within KVStudio by accessing File--->Settings--->KV VideoConnect Settings. You will then have the ability to add additions Hosting Vendor accounts for your KVStudio usage.
- Super Administrator - A 'Super Administrator' has all the same privileges as an 'Administrator', but they also have the additional capability of being able to create new subaccounts within the main account. They also have the ability to add/remove people from subaccounts. They have access to add or remove users to the main/primary KnowledgeVision account and they have the full range of functionality to build projects and presentations. This is accomplished by going to KVCentral --> Settings -->Administration.
- User - A 'User' is a typical user that has access to the all the workflows and features the account has provisioned. They do not have access to add or remove users to the KnowledgeVision account. If they access the 'Settings' panel in KVStudio, they will have access to modify the 'User Settings' to update their email address or change their password. This is the default role for all new users being added to a corporate account.
